Girlfriendz is a bi-monthly magazine that offers trustworthy advice from credentialed professionals, tips to make life easier, and well-researched, compelling articles for the thinking woman.
Our mission is to empower, educate and entertain our readership.
Targeted to Baby Boomer women, born between 1946 and 1964, Girlfriendz’ audience is intelligent and on the move. What sets us apart from other magazines in the South Jersey region is that our roots are local, but our focus is national.
We include humor, a bit of nostalgia and lots of food for thought.
We will accept press releases and pitches from public relations firms and publicists that deal with any of our topics. We are also interested in profiles of local or national celebrity Baby Boomer women.
We prefer not to be pitched with ideas from writers, but are interested in professional Boomer women writers who can be assigned:
- Articles that are well-researched, solutions-oriented, and are about problems faced by women in our target audience. We will accept credentialed professionals, but we’d prefer a professional writer who can interview credentialed professionals.
- Make-over tips that are non-surgically based
- Fashion must-haves that are both comfortable and cutting-edge
- Articles that will help a woman either become more business savvy, or establish a business of her own
- Achievable fitness programs that a woman will try and actually stick to
What we are not looking for:
- Poetry
- Personal essays
- Community Calendar announcements
